ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

Untrafficked™ offers leadership and support to the network of hundreds of affiliates across the Untied States. We advance the common good by striving to make a positive impact to all who are affected by Child Sex Trafficking. Numerous people give, advocate, and volunteer to improve the conditions of those affected by this atrocity.

Our Mission

Untrafficked™  is an anti-child sex trafficking organization that educates and empowers Americans to speak and act with one voice in defense of at risk children and children that are survivors of sex trafficking.  Untrafficked’s diversity across political, ethnic and demographic categories maximizes our impact in communities, the media, on campus, in our nation’s capital and across the United States. Untrafficked™ is committed to confronting indifference and combating child sex trafficking in all its forms wherever it may be found.

Our Leadership

Untrafficked™ is a grassroots organization. We operate with a very small paid staff, and depend heavily on our volunteer leaders. The dedicated men and women who donate their time to do the heavy lifting in the field are our most valuable resource. From the leadership of our executive board to the local and regional leaders across America, these volunteers play a critical role in helping Untrafficked™ achieve its mission.

Because we are a grassroots organization, Untrafficked™  Ambassadors carry the primary responsibility for developing relationships with local and regional: nonprofit leaders, social influencers, pastors, business leaders, sports figures, models, actors, speakers, politicians, and news casters. Our Untrafficked™ Ambassadors receive support and guidance from their regional coordinators, who in turn collaborate with the Untrafficked™ National Ambassador Head. The Executive Board and the Executive Director provide the national oversight and strategic insight for our organization and each of our initiatives.

Once a year, all of our volunteer leaders meet for the Untrafficked™ Leadership Summit. At the Leadership Summit, we share our past year’s victories and lay out the vision for the coming year.

Financial Information

Untrafficked™ plays a unique role as both a resource as a leader in the anti-sex trafficking non-profit sector in building trust through all we do. This bond of trust goes beyond legal or regulatory requirements to include transparency, a core value we hold dear. We believe that a key element of transparency is freely sharing not only our IRS Form 990 (as required by law) but also our independently audited financial statements. It is our hope that doing so demonstrates our commitment to public accountability for the financial stewardship of the assets our donor have entrusted to us.

Code of Ethics

Untrafficked™ volunteers, employees, affiliates and representatives have a responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards. We believe these standards go beyond compliance with laws and regulations — calling us to fulfill higher obligations as stewards of the public trust. Vetting

Untrafficked™ performs rigorous vetting and due diligence on every organization in the anti-sex trafficking community in order to ensure they are performing their unique charitable work in a transparent and accountable manner, and that they meet the rigorous standards for registration with Untrafficked™.

We collect and review documentation for every organization, including its legal documents, financial records, program materials, and lists of senior staff and board members, in order to validate that the organization is running the project as described. We also evaluate the organization’s capacity to implement activities, and communicate about its work, and we research the organization’s relationship with previous funding sources. Finally, we ensure that the organization is compliant with anti-terror guidelines and both domestic and international guidelines for philanthropy.

Once they’ve been vetted and added to the Untrafficked™ community, each organization is required to utilize our proprietary software (at no cost to them) to track their operations in real time. This allows us to ensure the safety of all stakeholders as they come in contact with child sex trafficking victims and those at risk.

We meet with the leadership of each group once a quarter to complete project reports, including activities, accomplishments and results of the project to-date. These reports are emailed to donors and publicly available on the project page so supporters can see how their donation is being used and what progress has been made.

We conduct ongoing vetting, monitoring and due diligence make every effort to ensure each organization is personally visited by a Untrafficked™ representative every two weeks to four weeks.

ABOUT CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING IN THE USA

The average age of a child trafficked for sex is 11 years old.

Sex trafficking is one of the world's darkest crimes, where people prey on the most vulnerable. When survivors escape, they need a tremendous amount of support getting back to a normal life.

The anti-sex trafficking sector is fragmented and in need of organization, strategic input and cohesive program management. Most of the organizations are operated by victims of abuse and sex trafficking and do not have the means and tools needed to effectively serve either those at risk of being trafficked or those that have been trafficked for sex. New and innovative ways are required to combat demand for purchased sex, raise awareness to this nationwide epidemic, and provide safe environments for victims.

The cost to rescue and fully rehabilitate a child is expensive. In many cases, it can cost up to $40,000 per month, per child, depending on the severity of damage done.

One of the goals of Untrafficked™ is to unify the anti-sex trafficking industry, establish best policies and practices and provide a cohesive platform for all existing stakeholders involved.

In response to this critical issue, Untrafficked™, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was established to build best-in-class programs as well as develop a central resource and operations center to provide information, tools, collaboration, operational support and funding for well vetted, existing programs and organizations anti-sex trafficking organizations (Untrafficked™ Affiliate Programs).

Untrafficked™ has developed a platform to collaborate with well vetted existing programs and organizations to bring support and operational structure and efficiencies to effectively serve sex trafficking victims.
